About Kildun Cottage Bed and Breakfast

The Outside of Kildun Cottage Bed and Breakfast, Dingwall The farm of Kildun is situated on the edge of the Black Isle a fertile and productive area of farmland. It lies at sea level. The farm’s main business is cattle production with a prize winning pedigree Limousin herd and commercial suckler herd. Grain production is the other enterprise producing grain for whisky production. The farm is a haven for wildlife where roe deer, fox, red kite, buzzard, barn owl, kestrel, lapwing, curlew, mallard, canada goose, skylark, snipe, grasshopper warbler, redshank, and many others are regularly seen.

Kildun Cottage was originally part of the farm buildings on Kildun which was used as a granary. It was converted in 2008 and today it is home to Alasdair and Gill Macnab. The conversion has retained many of the original features of a Highland granary.




The Sun Lounge at Kildun Cottage Bed and Breakfast, Dingwall


A sun lounge was built where the old hay store once stood and offers a view to the west and farmland. It provides a very pleasant sitting area for guests at the end of the day catching the evening sun and watching the world go by. This is also where we serve a hearty breakfast for a good start to the day.

The cottage has two en suite guest bedrooms with TV, coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryers and a selection of magazines and flowers.
