Dingwall
Kildun Cottage is 1 mile from Dingwall, a market town with traditional shops, good restaurants and coffee shops. Opposite the farm is Dingwall Market, where as well as cattle and sheep sales, there is a very comfortable cafe and furniture auction room.
Hill walking and climbing

There is a large number of excellent hill walks and climbs including
several Munros within a 1 hour drive.

Brewing
Close by are famous whisky distilleries such as Glenorangie, Ord,
Brackla, Dalmore, Clynelish. There is a brewery on the Black Isle
which makes its own distinctive and popular beers. All are open to
the public.
Wild life
The bottle nose dolphins at Chanonry Point are a very popular attraction
(20 minutes), see the seals at Foulis Ferry (15 minutes), the Red
Kite feeding station at Brahan Estate (10 minutes), see estuary birds
at Munlochy Bay and Udale Bay, Black Isle Wildlife Park (15 mimutes)

The local area boasts some excellent dining facilities to suit all
tastes including British, European, Far East, Oriental. These are
located in Dingwall and surrounding villages with some boasting top
